Q4 Repairs to Corry A School BEQ 3701

Pensacola, Florida
$7.1 Million
Contract Number N69450-14-D-0759 TO 0002
This project included the interior and exterior demolition and renovation of the building to reconfigure the existing unit layout to allow for a total of 98 berths. In addition to the creating of the new units, the new building program required one mechanical room and one electrical room, a laundry and a study on each floor, with a television/game/study room on the first floor. A new structural roof framing system was added to the existing roof system to support a new, steep slope standing seam metal roof. Prior to the renovation, the only access to the units of building 3701 was from an exterior covered walkway on each floor on the south facade. The project conformed to anti-terrorism/force protection standards and followed Federal Energy Acts compliance criteria for design, development, and final construction. This building was designed and constructed to meet USGBC LEED Silver standards and features Low Impact Development (LID) storm water best management practices. This project was completed safely, on time, and on budget.
